When I got there, I fell in love.

Driving towards Sitio you will pass through a narrow road with brushes and trees on each side of the road. When you enter the gate you will be greeted by a vast open space of grass. This is where you park. It is an unrecognizable parking lot.

On its other side is another garden, one of good smelling plants.
We chose this place for merienda. Like most places on the Viaje del Sol's list, reservations were required. They usually offer lunch for 550/head but we requested for merienda.
For just 220php/head snacks were served with fresh dalandan juice, coffee and a pretty plating of banana fritters, fried vegetable lumpia and sweet sticky rice. This also included a tour. Aside from that, since it was their rambutan festival when we went, guests were treated to unlimited rambutan!
Here are more photos of this lovely farm resort.

Something interesting...
Within the resort grounds is Tomas Morato's house transferred and being restored for accommodations. This, we were told by the owner, is where Manuel L. Quezon spent most of his summers. How cool is that? I can't wait to see it when done.
OK so here is my favorite part, the man-made lagoon! The lagoon is filled with fresh spring water. Now get this, they fill this up for guests and drain it after the guests leave-super clean! The water exits and continues on to the stream.
Take note though that they only fill it up when they anticipate a lot of guests coming. It is best to ask about this before your trip if you'd like to swim there. If you are a big group of about 20 people they can fill it up for you. Although there were no other guests when we went it was filled because we had gone on a long weekend.

We spent the whole afternoon here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I cannot wait to go back.
DETAILS AND TIPS:
- as with any place surrounded by plants, insect repellent is a must!
- the cemented grounds surrounding the lagoon can get really really slippery, be warned and keep caution.
- again, lunch is 550php/head and merienda is 220php/head
- reservations are required prior to visit
- day trip is 1200php/head which includes morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and swimming
- rooms can be accommodated for the day for 50% its overnight price. This is a very good offer for those who'd like to swim, especially those with children.
-check out Sitio de Amor's website for more details
