Viaje del Sol 1st stop: Casa San Pablo

Our Viaje del Sol trip's jump off point was Casa San Pablo. This  is where we had our breakfast since we wanted to start our trip early.

Casa San Pablo is inside Kay Inay Resort. Walking through the resort you'll see a small clean yet old looking pool, several cozy cottages and a small bridge that crosses over a stream. Walking towards Casa San Pablo you'll see grass and greens getting wider and wider. They have a lot of open space and a quiet restaurant.  What will really catch your attention are the native hammocks grouped together right beside the restaurant. The place is so quiet and really relaxing. To me it felt like a retreat house.

FOOD

All the breakfast item on their menu is priced at 150php. This comes with coffee, which I didn't try, or really really good hot chocolate. One thing I have to mention though is that they did not have milk. For a place that serves breakfast and have coffee and hot chocolate, they should have milk, right?  Aside from that they only had one waiter who seemed frazzled. He was very accommodating though and so were the owners.

Back to the food, I had danggit, which was nothing great and a bit burned. My daughter was super happy with her breakfast. She had bacon, sunny side up and fried rice- things we don't have regularly at home. If you would like a bigger breakfast, they have what they call a family breakfast which is 430/head.

All in all the place is very pleasant and peaceful. I would definitely go back!

Next stop: Lake Pandin! Casa San Pablo gives out printed clear-cut directions to the lake. Ask for one if you get a chance to stop here before hand.
